What is the Hobby Hub?

Hobby Hub is a community space where you can borrow a wide range of materials and equipment to explore various hobbies, from arts and crafts to music, science, and more.

What are your operating hours?

The Hobby Hub is open on Mondays to Fridays from 9AM to 5PM and weekends from 9AM to 7PM.

Membership and Fees

Do I need a membership to use the Hobby Hub?

Yes, you need to sign up for a membership to borrow materials and use the facilities. Click here to learn more about memberships.

What is the cost of membership?

Membership tiers vary:
Explorer: $10 per month

Crafter: $20 per month

Artisan: $30 per month

Are there any additional fees for borrowing materials?

Typically, borrowing fees are included in the membership, but some high-value or special items may require an additional fee. Click here for more information.

Materials and Equipment

How do I borrow materials?

Members can browse our inventory online or in-store and check out items. You will then receive a confirmation order for your booking. Materials can then be picked up and will be put on loan for one week. Walk-ins are also accepted depending on availability of materials.

How long can I keep the materials?

The standard borrowing period is typically 1 week (7 days), but special arrangements can be made for longer projects.

What if the item I want is already checked out?

You can place a hold on the item, and we will notify you when it becomes available.

Are there penalties for late returns?

Yes, there is a late fee of $5 for each day the item is overdue.

What types of hobbies and materials do you offer?

We offer materials for a wide range of hobbies including painting, sewing, knitting, and more. Check our materials tab for the full list of materials and equipment offered.

Are the materials and equipment safe to use?

Yes, all of our materials and equipment are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure safety. We also provide safety guidelines and training sessions for the use of certain equipment.

Workshops and Events

Do you offer any classes or workshops?

Yes, we offer a variety of classes and workshops led by expert instructors. Check our calendar for upcoming events.

How much do the workshops cost?

Workshop fees vary depending on the activity. The basic tier includes 1 complimentary workshop per month, while the premium tier includes 3 complimentary workshops per month. Check the workshops tab for more information.

Policies and Guidelines

What is your policy on damaged or lost items?

Members are responsible for borrowed items. If an item is lost or damaged, you will be required to cover the cost of repair or replacement.

Can children use the Hobby Hub?

Yes, children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult at all times. We also offer family-friendly workshops and activities.

Getting Involved

How can I volunteer at the hobby hub?

To get involved, please send us an email. You can also drop by our location and speak to a team member about current volunteer opportunities.

Q: Can I donate materials or equipment to the Hobby Hub?

Absolutely! We greatly appreciate donations of all kinds. However, please ensure that they are in good condition. You can drop off materials during our operating hours at the designated drop-off point located at the back of the hub. We also recommend contacting us beforehand to discuss the items that are currently most needed. Thank you for your generosity!

how do i become a workshop instructor?

If you have expertise in a particular hobby and are interested in sharing your knowledge by hosting a workshop, we’d love to hear from you! Please contact us through our email address or in-store to discuss more!
